A Week of Celebration and Excellence at Curtin Mauritius
Curtin Mauritius recently hosted a series of inspiring events that brought together students, alumni, staff and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of achievement, connection and pride.
Vice-Chancellor’s List Awards 2024
The week began with the Vice-Chancellor’s List Awards, where 49 outstanding students were recognised for their exceptional academic performance in 2024. Being named to the Curtin University Vice-Chancellor’s List is a prestigious honour, celebrating students who have demonstrated consistent dedication, resilience and excellence in their studies.
This ceremony not only acknowledged individual academic success but also reflected Curtin Mauritius’ commitment to fostering ambition and rewarding hard work across all disciplines.
Celebrating 21 Years with Curtin University – Alumni 2025
Later that evening, we celebrated a remarkable milestone—21 years of partnership with Curtin University. Alumni from different graduating years and professional backgrounds came together to reconnect, share their stories and celebrate the enduring value of their time at Curtin. The event featured addresses from Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Matthew Tonts, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin Mauritius Professor Lina Pelliccione, and Executive Director of Charles Telfair Education Dr Jeremy Charoux, each highlighting the importance of lifelong connections and the achievements of our diverse alumni community.
It was a proud moment to witness the strength of our alumni network and the paths our graduates have taken across the globe.
Curtin Mauritius Graduation 2025
The celebrations continued with the 2025 Graduation Ceremony, where 389 students crossed the stage in front of the Curtin University delegation, proud family, friends and faculty members. A particularly special moment was the graduation of our first-ever cohort of BSc Nursing Global students and BSc Nursing Top-Up students—a significant milestone for Curtin Mauritius and a testament to the university’s growing academic breadth.
We were honoured to welcome the Australian Delegation, including the Chancellor of Curtin University Dr. Vanessa Guthrie AO and the Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Matthew Tonts and other senior members of Curtin University. Their presence made the day even more memorable, reflecting the strength of Curtin’s global community.
As each graduate walked the stage, we celebrated not just their academic success but their journey, determination and future potential. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them make tomorrow better.
