The International Health Symposium 2026, hosted by Charles Telfair Education and Curtin Mauritius, will take place from 20–22 January 2026 at the Charles Telfair Campus in Mauritius. This inaugural event will convene healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and policymakers from Mauritius, Africa, Australia, France, and other regions.
With the theme “Building Bridges for Better Health Care”, the symposium will explore twelve thematic areas, feature eight workshops, and welcome more than 45 speakers. Over 250 participants are expected to attend, making it one of the largest health-focused gatherings ever held in Mauritius.
Keynote addresses, including insights from Dr. Mohamed Yakub Janabi, WHO Regional Director for Africa, will highlight opportunities to strengthen healthcare systems and foster collaboration across disciplines. The symposium aims to provide a platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and innovation in health care.
