Game of Code 2025: A Human-Centric Innovation Challenge
Curtin Mauritius recently hosted the second edition of Game of Code, a flagship coding competition that brings together creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking digital solutions. Following the success of its inaugural event, this year’s edition introduced a powerful theme: “Your Human Twist” — challenging participants to blend AI with human empathy.
The 2025 challenge called on university students to co-develop digital companions designed to support mental health among students, with a strong emphasis on creativity, emotional intelligence, and user empathy.
Eighty students, grouped into 20 teams from five local institutions — Curtin Mauritius, the University of Mauritius, the University of Technology Mauritius, Middlesex University Mauritius, and Polytechnics Mauritius — took part in this high-energy, multi-day hackathon. Each team presented live demos and pitched their solutions to a panel of 18 industry professionals.
Congratulations to this year’s winners:
- 1st Prize – Team Ctrl C Ctrl V, Curtin Mauritius
