Using Inquiry to create Integrated STEM A Makerspace Project-based Approach
December 4, 2019
Curtin Mauritius, in collaboration with the Australian High Commission and the Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Mauritius Chapter were delighted to host a workshop on Using Inquiry to Create Integrated STEM: A Makerspace Project Based Approach.
This workshop was delivered by Dr Rachel Sheffield and Dr Rekha Koul, two very experienced science educators from Curtin University, Australia. At the workshop, they demonstrated and shared a number of technologies that can support (primary and secondary) teachers to help their students to develop not only their science and STEM concept knowledge but also support students to develop Transversal Competencies (problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication and collaboration). It was a very successful day with very positive comments for our 26 educators from early learning, primary and secondary schools.
