Information Systems are important across all areas of business. Profitable businesses rely on information systems to obtain, process, and output information. They also rely on IT professionals who can analyze and identify the issues, and propose the best systems solution. To do so, they must have strong analytical and technical skills and be able to process information effectively.
This degree focuses on the business side of information technology. You will learn how business information systems are selected, managed and applied to business problems, and gain a broad understanding in areas such as business systems analysis and design, business software tools, information security, project management, business-related information systems management and knowledge.
Please note:
During your first semester of the Bachelor of Commerce you’ll complete common core units which will provide an introduction to the various aspects of business. You do not need to make a final decision on a single or combined major until your second semester.
